About Terry

  Mr. Turner earned a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. His counseling style is integrative. Mainly, informed by person centered, strength-based, and solution-focused approaches with special emphasis on meeting you where you are. And, helping you get to where you wish to be in terms of your emotional, spiritual, and psychological health. His work experience and settings are vast and wide-ranging. For example, he has spent many years in the military (VFW), police department, and elite sports competition, supporting individuals as they dealt with career development, performance improvement, addiction, mental illness, and crisis. His professional interests include but are not limited to grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, interpersonal skills, relationship issues, depression and social justice. During his leisure time, Terry enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading and walking his dogs (Bella & Vita).
