About Leah

My name is Leah Maligalig, and I was born as the first child in my family. From an early age, I understood the importance of responsibility, a trait that has guided me throughout my life. Growing up as the eldest, I naturally took on a leadership role within my family, which helped shape my character and drive. Although I am a licensed teacher, I never pursued a career in teaching. Instead, I found my calling in the field of customer service, particularly in the US medical account sector. For 12 years, I worked as a Customer Service Representative (CSR), where I developed strong communication skills and a deep understanding of the intricacies of the healthcare industry. My role involved more than just assisting customers; I was also responsible for troubleshooting claims, ensuring that each case was resolved with accuracy and compassion. Over time, I advanced to the role of an Escalation Specialist. This position allowed me to handle more complex and challenging issues that required a higher level of expertise and attention to detail. It was in this role that I truly honed my problem-solving abilities and learned the importance of remaining calm and composed, even in the most stressful situations. Though my career path diverged from the teaching profession, the skills and values I developed along the way have been invaluable. I am proud of the work I have done and the people I have helped throughout my career. My journey is a testament to the idea that success can be found in many different forms, and sometimes, the path we take may be different from the one we originally envisioned.
