Online. Simple. Effective.
I'm Laurie, and I'm glad you found my bio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a master's degree in Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. With a background in Sign Language Interpreting, I bring both clinical insight and a deep appreciation for communication in all its forms.
My heart lies in walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges, offering a safe, welcoming space where they can feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Whether you're facing pain, uncertainty, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I’m here to help you move forward with compassion, hope, and the tools to thrive.
My areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, family dynamics, sexual assault, and anger management. In addition to my clinical training, I bring insight gained from my own life experiences. I understand what it’s like to grow up in a home impacted by addiction and mental illness, and I’ve walked the path of recovery myself. These experiences have shaped my deep respect for how personal and difficult healing can be.
As a client-centered therapist, I believe in meeting people where they are and using the approach that best fits their individual journey. I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and coping skills development to create a personalized path forward. No two people are the same, and I honor that by tailoring each session to reflect your unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, playing with my elderly Black Lab, and laughing with friends over meals and board games.
If you feel we might be a good fit, I invite you to reach out and schedule an appointment. I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward meaningful change and emotional well-being.
